Future classics? The 20 cheap, usable cars we think will rise in value

It’s an extremely difficult thing to predict. In fact, it’s impossible to pinpoint when or how a certain car attains its ‘classic’ status, harder still to anticipate why. But every classic car was once new and relatively unremarkable, and for those that bought them at the right time, that can result in some fairly substantial profits.

We’re not going to talk about the ultra-rare Ferraris and Porsches in this gallery, of course. This is a far more accessible sort of speculation. Because if you’ve always lusted after a potential classic marque from the Eighties or Nineties, there’s no better time to invest than now.
